hoof trimming

I just wanted to ask what your suggestions would be for trimming my two ewe's hooves. I know how to trim them it's just a matter of securing the sheep and trimming. I have two Lincoln ewes who are not large fans of the trimming process. One is small enough to work with, but the other is about 200lbs and uncooperative. I do have a hard time flipping my sheep onto their backs because of their weight. What are your suggestions? Thanks.

"Flipping" them on their backside is the best way to keep them still, but certainly can be difficult to do and then bending over to do the trimming can be hard on the back. There are two other options; teach the ewe to lift her feet (like a horse) while she eats a treat up on a grooming stand or use the deck chair (part 807500)to hold them upside down while you trim, give shots, etc.
