feeder panels

Are the panels (item #936200) that go with your one- and two-sided wooden feeder plans appropriate for use in a fence-line feeder? I am building new corrals and want to line one of the fence lines with feeder panels so that the fence can serve as a feed bunk. Because of the push and shove that goes with a fence-line feeder, I am concerned about the strength of the metal in the panels. Also, the gaps need to be big enough to allow ewes to get their heads through in order to access hay. Will your panels be appropriate, or should I plan to use wooden uprights? Is it possible to e-mail your reply? Thanks.

The feeder panels ar very strong but they would not allow the sheep to
put her head through. The holes are 4" x 4", just big enough to stick her
nose in and pull out a mouthfull of hay.

You will not need to worry about the strentgh of the panel as we have used them in our barn for the last 3 years and hed no difficuluty what so ever. we made the drive by version of the feeder and I will gaurantee that the panels will last longer than the feeders most likely. and just so you know these feeders on our farm have over 250 ewes using them daily.
