XT-Poultrynet

I bought the XT-Poultrynet 48 2 weeks ago and I have a questions about it.
When I run the netting I made a big "U" and run power to one side of the fence and jumper over from the otherside and I have no power. I checked the charger and It's working and I'm getting power to the fence. Do I have to plug the two ends together or can I just jumper over to it to complete the loop.
