Water to sheep on pasture

I asked Gordon a while back what type of water valve he would recommend on a 60 gallon poly water trough for sheep and can't remember (and can't dig up old e-mail) what he said.

Also, any reason why 3/4 inch PVC wouldn't work as well as CPVC as a water line (about 1,800 feet long). Any pointers on design?
