Single-strand Intelliwire w/woven wire

I'm new to the "setting up the electric fence" game, so I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how to use the instructions here on the site to fit my needs. I've just fenced in a pasture using 47" woven wire, and need to run a single strand of hot Intellitwine, about 36" high, along the inside of the pasture to keep the cows from pushing on the woven wire. The pasture is divided into three sections, also, so I've also got to run the wire either over or under 6 gates. The diagrams I can find for running hot wire underneath a gate all show multiple-strand designs, which includes a ground wire that runs the full length of the fenceline. Can I just run the single strand of the Intellitwine as I'd planned, or do I need to run an additional strand all the way around as a ground wire? When running the Intellitwine under gates, should the plastic conduit come out of the ground on either side of the gate and run all the way up the wooden posts 'til the polywire is at the right height, or does the conduit just come up enough to keep the polywire from having any contact with the earth or weeds? Or would I be better off just running the Intellitwine above the gates by adding extensions to the wooden gate posts? Four of the gates will be frequently have a tractor driving through, as well as having a stock trailer backed up into that opening as well, so if I go over the top, it will have to be pretty high up...

Thanks!!

Any time you come to a gate it is best to terminate the wire with the corect
insulator and run an insultated wire under the gate.

OK, that's what I figured, too. So...what about the other questions I have about how to do this correctly?

"The diagrams I can find for running hot wire underneath a gate all show multiple-strand designs, which includes a ground wire that runs the full length of the fenceline. I want to do this right the first time, and not have to correct things after I find out I did something wrong, which is why I'm asking--I've got the Intellitwine, I've got the insulators for the posts and the corners, I've got some P-springs, I've got the conduit, I've got the insulated wire, I've got one of the Energizer to Rope connectors and two of the PowerLinks, a cut-out switch and the energizer. What else do I need to do this right? Where can I find a diagram or illustration that gives me a better idea of how far up the gate posts the conduit needs to run, and how far up the insulated wire needs to run?

It makes no difference how many strands your fence has.You only need one
insulated wire to carry the power under the gate. Your wovenwire and the soil
will become the ground return to the energizer.
Look at the diagrams on page 86 of our catalog and pretend that there is only one
wire on each fence.
You can run the insulated wire in a conduit under the ground, This will protect it from damage when being driven over. The conduit should come out of the ground
atleast 6" but if you want it can run up to the hot wire.

Thanks, Gordon...I'll check the diagrams on page 86, then, and get started this weekend. :)
