insulators for metal gates

I plan on setting up several energized wires for my current fenced in pastures. I need to know what type of insulator is used for pressed steel gates. The majority of the hot wires will be attached to wooden posts, but the gates are the pressed steel, 8-ft. long style.

Please give me more information.
Do you want all the wires on the gate or just one.
How often will you open the gate.
Do you want to be able to turn off the power before you open them.
How many gates do you have

Sorry for the belated reply.

I would want to have two wires like I plan fencing, which is 4 ft. welded wire attached to wooden posts.
The gates would be opened often.
Would want to be able to turn off the power before opening the gate. With my luck, I would be zapped more than the goats!
Have 6 gates- 3 of the pressed metal type (8-10 ft. wide), 2 tubular metal type (8 ft wide) and 1 wood frame/welded wire body of 6 ft wide.

The best way is to put a hot wire across the gate with a gate handle at one end.
When you need to go through gate lift the handle and the wire will not be hot.
