Labs on hot tub

I have a really nice square hot-tub and a now "Labrador loved" hot tub cover - meaning it is chewed up and in need of replacement, which of course I won't do yet since they are both 11 months old. My concern is also the jumping on and off of the hot tub cover will take a toll on their joints. I have tried putting items on the cover, and then built an elaborate chicken and other harder wire fence around it. They have, over a months time, broken into, under, and over the chicken wire fence. I bought a K9 fence at Orchard Supply Hardware and it didn't work and the directions were really crappy. There is another one at Petco, but it's more expensive and requires a ground which I would have to run at least 15 feet from the grass area behind my tub to the outlet. The outlet is away from the tub (per code), wired on a separate box from my other fuse box. The hot tub sits on a concrete slab patio, uncovered by the patio overhang. I am at my wit's end. Any suggestions? The dimensions of the spa are 6' 8" x 7' 9" x 33"H/2.03m x 2.36m x .84m.
THANKS!!!

The only option Premier could offer would be to install an electrical barrier fence around the perimeter (several feet away from hot tub) of electric fence barrier. Usually would not recommend electric fence near area frequented by people due to people being shock. Use at own risk.

Thanks
