monthly electric bill

I need to know how much the electric bill will increase if I hook up an Intellishock 284 to 5 or 10 miles of Maxishock wire. Please give me a hi-lo range in terms of kilowatt hours or some other measurement that I can translate to my local utility cost structure. I plan a 2 or 3 wire fence so you should assume a moderate weed load during the spring. If there is some variable or design change that I can control that will impact your answer, I'd like to know what that is. If you need more info, let me know. Thanks, Craig

Our largest energizer will cost about the same to run as a 25 watt
light bulb. It is a 10 joule unit . The 284 is a three joule unit , it will
run much cheaper. Should take about 6 watts and will cost less
than $ 10.00 per year to run.

What happens to electricity consumption if the fence becomes grounded? Does it go up until the fault is fixed? Thanks

The energizer will only draw to its top limit. The size of the fault will
not cause it to draw more.
