fencing for sheep

I have Premier 1's electro-netting that is the 35" I think. It has worked to keep my Romney's in and also is great for rotating pasture every 3-5 days in the summer. BUT, now my Romneys are jumping OVER the netting without touching it. The wire is hot, at least the fence tester says so. So now what? There is no perimeter fencing and the sheep are not on my land. I don't really want to invest in something permanent when it's not my farm.

If it is only one or two ewes jumping them get rid of them befor they teach the
rest to jump.
The only other thing that you can do is make your netting higher. You can
add taller posts every 20 ft. and run a rope or tape at the top of the fence.

My solution was as Gordon says, getting rid of the jumpers. Around here (Massachusetts) we have a problem with stuff jumping IN. Deer are ok in a sheep pasture, coyotes are not. I understand that the system pictured in the Premier catalog that keeps out deer, also works to prevent coyote jumpers. (I am talking about the single hot wire a few feet from the main fence. Just as Premier says to bait the anti deer wire with "scent caps", I hear that baiting the anti coyote wire with bacon is a good idea. I'll be trying it myself this summer. The offset antijumping wire may also work for your sheep, but I don't know what you would bait it with. Disclaimer....I am no "expert"
