alpaca teeth

I need to trim my alpaca's teeth. What equipment should I get, is a tranquilizer necessary and if so what kind, and what instructions are available for the beginner.

It depends on the alpaca, but generally a tranquilizer is not needed. You can use a dog's rope toy to put in the mouth to keep it open and then use either a dremmel grinder or OB wire to trim the teeth. Either way, it only takes a few seconds.
