Sheep with horns and pos/neg fence

I ordered the e-stop pos/neg fence but I am a little concerned that my hornet Dorset sheep may get its horn tangled in the fence. I didn't see another fence in the catalog that has pos/neg along with finer vertical spacing. Does it occur often that horned sheep get stuck in a fence with standard vertical spacing? I need po/neg because the soil is dry. Thanks

They do not offer a P/N version with the verticals any closer.
Any net fence can cause problems with horned animals.
That is why it is very important to keep the voltage high on the net
so the animal respects the fence, and stays away.

If a horned Dorset sheep gets its horn stuck in the fence when I am not around and gets zapped every second, for an entire day, by an IntelliShock 20B with a 12Ah 12V SLA battery, typically does this cause permanent medical injuries to the sheep?

Any time you use electric net with a horned animal you are taking a chanch
of harming the animal or the fence.
If the horn snags the net and he pulls away the net can be torn. It can also
pull from the ground and tangle with the animals feet.
If the animal is too small to pull free from the fence, being schocked for hours
can cause harm to him.

I am thinking of circling the inside of the net with a line of Intellibraid that is spaced about a foot closer than the net. This way the sheep won't get close enough to the net to tangle their horns. The Intellibraid would be the first barrier for the sheep, and the e-stop net would keep the coyotes out.

Is it simple to hook up both to the Intellishock 20B? What extra parts if any, would I need to run/hook-up the Intellibraid? Is this a good idea?

I would use intellirope instead of braid. You will need the power posts for the rope
and a power link to connect the two fences together.
