comb cutter setting

In reading about clipper settings for comb and cutter, it talks about setting the cutter 1/8" behind the bevel on the comb. Where do we set the cutter when the bevel has been removed over time due to sharpening of the comb. Also- you say the comb to cutter overlap on the edges should be 1/2 of the tooth. I have a couple of cutters that no matter how I adjust the comb, the cutter will extend past the comb's edge on one side- any idea what is wrong? I have not used your sharpening services but my brother has and he is satisfied. Over time, the cutters I have now become thinner on one side, I believe due to the sharpened (grinding) service I use. Does the lapping system of sharpening keep the cutter the same thickness? If it does, can you take a cutter that is already thick on one end and thinner on the other and "true" it back up. Oh yeah, I am using an EB handpiece with 4 point cutters and 9 or 13 tooth combs.

If the bevel has been ground away then the comb teath are going to be
very sharp and could cause harm to the animal. Most people would use
a new comb at this time.
The comb is the only way to adjust side to side movenent of the cutter.
If the cutters are thin on one side then they are being ground wrong. We
can fix them if you send them to us.
