clippers leaving streaks

I have the premier 4000 clippers and I use the surgical blades to shear. These clippers leave streaks on the animals. I need help. Do you know what could be the matter. Can the tensioning nut be sprung. I also have another E-mail address dwm@centurytel.net

Streaks can be made by pushing too hard or too fast.
Blades that need to be sharpened.
Dirty animals.
Not enough oil on the blades.
And even the type of fiber you are clipping.
