Fence Line Feeders

Last fall I built 8 Fence line feeders of treated wood and Premier's Panels. They worked great, as good or better than hoped. I use these OUTSIDE in Mn. winters. Two questions.
One. How many years of sevice should I expect with outside use???? Two. I am thinking about building 400 feet of fence line bunk space, Is there a better idea (less costly) for a length of fence line this long????? Thanks.
