new installation

Hello,
i am going to order some of the fencing - probably the Permanet - to keep poultry in and goats and predators out. On the video it show using a short push-in grounding rod. This is the rod that is also used to hold the battery/fence charger. Is that enough grounding or is the other longer rod also required?
Thanks
-S

The length of the ground rod depends on the energizer. As long as you are using the Intellishock 20B (what was shown in the video), that ground rod will be fine in most situations. You may need to supplement that ground rod with a longer one if the soil gets very, very dry for long periods of time.
