Post spacing for woven wire fence

Hi,

We are going to be building a woven wire fence with offset hot wires for a few goats and I am not sure what would be the ideal spacing for the line posts. We bought 48" woven wire goat fence with 4"x4" spacing from our local farm store to save on shipping costs (it's Oklahoma brand). The area we are fencing is fairly small - around 30 x 130 feet and we'll probably be using a combination of treated wood posts and t-posts. I live in Missouri where the soil has quite a bit of clay - it's not sandy or loose at all.

I have seen a rather broad range of post spacing that different folks have done - can you give me a recommendation on what might be best for my situation?

Thanks so much,
Leah

Leah,
I would put the posts no farther than 15' apart. Ideally I think they should be around 10-12' apart.
