Low-tension semi-permanent fence

We are going to be getting a Jersey cow with a calf by her in about a month and I need to fence off about a 2.5 acre pasture as quickly and affordably as possible. I am looking at going with Low-tension fence, Intellirope 6.0, with two strands at about 15 and 35 inches. My question is, when using Steel T-posts at the corners and bends, is a P Spring combination required at each one? It says to use one every 1320 ft, but the longest straignt shot before a bend or corner we would have is about 300 ft. Overall, all the way around the pasture, it's about 1380 ft. I'll use a Rope Gate with T-posts 25 ft. apart, at one spot, but that's still more than 1320 all around. I'm thinking it would just be easier to put a couple more rope gates in around the pasture, unless I have to do the P Spring cominations at each T-post anyway.

Also, are there any good books that explain all this in detail, for those of us complete newbies who have no clue and don't want to make a bunch of mistakes right off the bat? The downloadable diagrams are great, but I still have a lot of questions about how it all works.

Thanks!
Sally

Sally,
P Spring combinations are only need/used at the ends (gates) or wherever you start and stop the rope. We don't use them at the corners or bends. I'm sorry, we don't have anything more detailed than the diagrams online. When we send out the order it should have a little card with each insulator/small piece giving brief instructions on how to use each piece.

Ok, thanks for clarifying that a bit, Mandy. So, if I were to call in, could someone help me with my more detailed questions, so I know I'm ordering everything I need and setting up my fence correctly?

Thanks,
Sally
