Sheep shearing

This will be my daughters first year showing sheep. We have midium wool sheep. I need to shear them. My clippers are the Premier 4000 but have the regular clipper heads for goats.
These sheep have extremely heavy wool of course compared to goats. I tried to use the goat clippers just to shear these sheep for the first time since they are in the extreme South Texas heat.

Can you tell me exactly what shearing head and blades I need to order for my Premier 4000, I want something I can get them in show shape with of course and I would also like baldes to use just to cut them short during the summer so they will be able to handle this extreme heat a little better.

Please advise.

Butch,
You will want to purchase the Shear Head (829004) with the Spirit Comb (861200) and Spitfire Cutter (850000). Usually you will use to cutters to 1 comb, so it is best to have more cutters than combs when you start. This will do the rough shear and get the majority of the wool off, but not leave them very 'tidy' looking.

For the show, I think you will be better off using your Clipper Head with a set of Fine Blades (873000) or the Surgical Blade Set (873500)
