3-sided electric fence w/4 side a non-electric fence

How can I use your electric fence with a non-electric fence? I want to place a 3-sided electric fence using an existing non-electric fence as the fourth side. What do I need to use to 'bridge the gap' so to speak so that I can do this? Just run insulated wire from the connection points of one fence to the connection points of the other fence - insuring that the animals aren't able to reach this wire and chew on it - connecting the wire to extra electro net clips? My thoughts are that this will work and work well but wanted to "ask the expert" before I embarked down this road.

Thanks for your time,

Dave

Dave,
You don't have to 'bridge the gap'. Run your electric fence on the side you need it on, hook the energizer to 1 end and leave the other end open. Electric fences do not have to make a circuit- the animal is what completes the circuit when it well grounded and touches the fence.
