Solar on cloudy days

I am trying to decide if I should buy a solar charger for use in area with frequent cloudy days? I can't tell if it would be better to buy a regular battery energizer with a solar charger instead of the unit in the special brown case...what would be the difference?

The PRS 50 and 100 have been specked for most of the area's in the lower US states. As long as you have 50% sunny days they should work for you. There is a 12 volt battery in the units so you can check the charge on the batteries also. They can be charged with a 2 amp charger. Hope this helps.
