Looking to protect my free range chickens from some foxes in the area. How much power do I need to juice the rope I am going to string?

What heights do you recommend for foxes? I'm happy to do a couple different levels.

The best way to go is with the PoultryNet. Item number 201825. This has the 3 inch wide spaces. This will help keep poultry in and the fox out. Have a reading of at least 3000 volts on the fence line.

I need to surround an area of about 1 acre which is already surrounded by an 8 foot deer fence. So the chix are in. Just need to keep fox out. Can you string together that many poultry nets? They would be going thru the woods too so we have some vegetation.

Also, chix were able to fly over a 4ft fence previously.

You can put together that many nettings.

Or if you live in a area with green grass -space the lower wires 4 inches from the ground and the next wire up 8 from the ground and a 3rd 12 from the ground and so on all hot. The leave your deer fence up.

If you live in an area that is dry, rocky, sandy soil then space the wire 3 inches apart making every other wire grounded and every other hot.

Make sure to test your fence and get a reading of at least 3000 volts.
