empty SupaReels

Now my fence is up and I used the entire 2000 feet of wire. I have removed the empty SupaReels and put up P springs. .

I would like to have these reels filled with more wire. Can I ship the empty reels to Premier to be filled or does the service only apply to new reels?

Assuming the answer is yes, can I leave the handles on or should they be removed prior to shipping? What address should they be shipped to? Can I make the order online and add a note about the incoming reels to arrange for it?

Lawrence,
If you want to pay the freight to send the reels back and forth, we can prewind more Intellitwine on them. If you do this though, please put a note in with the SupaReels so that we know what you are after. You can order the new conductor/twine online and please do note it when you order. I would keep all of the handles and accessories, there's no reason we need those to do the prewind for you.

When you purchase a new roll of the 2000' twine, it will be on a small disposable cardboard reel. You can use that reel to unwind and put up the Intellitwine. Then when you get ready to move it or take it down for the season, you wind it up on the SupaReel.
Thank you,

Hmm, just trying to figure out how to manage the wire and the spools.

I am not planning to take down this fence anytime soon and actually expect to leave it up for as long as the twine holds out. I now own 8 complete supa reels and it's hard to imagine that I should store them for the purpose of taking down worn out twine 5 years from now. Then I would have reel full of worn out twine to be thrown away.

Would another method of rolling up the twine be better if it is to be thrown away? That would allow me to use my vast collection of reels on a new project.

I see now that the SupaReel is actually more useful when taking the conductor down than it putting it up. But if my twine wears out in five years and I wind it all up onto all of these reels then where does that leave me? With all of these reels full of worn out twine, how would i unroll it to throw it away?

The reel is very useful to take down wire that is still good but how do you manage wire/twine that is worn out? You can't throw away the reel with the twine.

I'm guessing you must have mechanized the spooling of the wire because it doesn't look like I would be able to spool it up so perfectly on my own. The thing is, I am looking at the maxi shock which comes pre wound on a supa reel 2640 feet of it. I'm guessing the price includes the supa reel or it would say otherwise.

Would I get a break on the price of the 2640 foot maxi shock if I mail in my own reel? It doesn't look like that length of maxi shock is available any other way. I want that wire but don't know how much sense it makes to buy more reels.

I know that shipping the reels will cost me but the only additional expense would be shipping it to you since the cost to ship the wire to me is mine anyway. It just seem like I should try to use the empties rather than save them for twine that is to be disposed of anyway so long as the shipping is less than the cost of a new one, which it is. It also saves me the trouble of storing them all for years empty.

I'm sorry to be so lengthy, does any of this make any sense? Please advise. Regards,

Lawrence

If you're leaving the twine up until it is worn out, then no you wouldn't want to put the worn out twine onto the reel. We don't have any special way of taking it down. Seldom will we take down a complete roll of worn out twine. It has usually been broken and we end up with multiple pieces to wrap up.

We actually do not pre-wind the Maxishock here. We can only do the lighter conductors (rope, tape, twine). We have the manufacturer do it before they it to us.
