Sparking after rain

We installed our new poultry netting last week and are happy to say that it deterred a bobcat from our chickens the first day. We had our first rain storm last night and were noticing that the fence was spaking in various locations on the bottom tonight. I noticed that there is some sagging and that there are small weeds that have grown since we put the fence in. Will this damage the netting, should we turn it off (which we have for the evening), etc. We will be keeping the chickens in tomorrow, but would really like to know if this will be a problem for them as soon as possible.

Thank you.

The sparking is a short in the fence. It is best to fix so it will not spark any more by pulling the weed that is shorting out. As long as you keep a reading of 3000 volts or more on the fence you should be fine.
