portable chicken run

I have an 8x10 coop and 10 hens and lots of land. I want to construct a portable run with about an 80 foot perimeter and am looking at your eletronet #201900 w a P5 battery energizer. My ground is very hard and full of rock shards making it difficult to dig post holes.

If I were to dig holes 1 foot deep and cement a piece of PC into those holes w the idea of inserting the posts in your netting into that PVC socket......would this work. If yes, I'll dig the holes and cement the PVC for electgronet fencing into several different locations for alternative chicken runs.

thanks you

Theoretically this should work. In real life if the spacing is off even 2 inches there will be problems keeping the pulled tight. The best way would be to use just the netting this way you can reset the post as needed. Hope this helps.

The netting made to move around. The spikes are 6-8 inches long (depends on which net is ordered). You can step in the double spike or push in the single spiked post. If the soil is hard then use a cordless drill to predrill the holes.
