battery first time use

I brought a portable electrical net and 9v energizer about 3 years ago. Just now hooked it. But it is not sending a current through the fence. Do I need to buy another 9v. If so, where can buy it. Also, the bottom black wires of my fence have a few breaks in several spots. Perhaps this is the problem... If so, can you describe how to repair/splice the wires.

The 9 volt battery only has a shelf life of 2 years. It may have some power still. Try taking the tape off the top of the battery and let it sit for 15-25 minutes they hook it up. If it still is not working then the battery is dead. You can get another one with us at Premier 1 Supplies.
For the black line at the bottom of the fence. This is not electrified so all you need to do is tie knots. There should have been a repair kit in with the netting.
