Mounting an Intellishock 20B on post

What is the best way to mount an intellishock 20B on a post? I have it in the ground on its mounting/grounding support but I want to move it to a wooden fence post so it is easier to maintain and off the ground for winter.

Hi John,

Thank you for contacting Premier 1 Supplies! The best way would be to build a shelf or mount it to the top of your post if it is large enough in diameter. You would then need to run insulated cable from your negative terminal ground rod, depending on how far off the ground the energizer was! If you were to mount the "J" bracket to the post, it would eventually (if not immediately) break the plastic box. I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any questions!
Can contact me at 1-800-282-6631.

Have a great day,
Andrea
