Will my 6v solar energizer be sufficient for use with

Hi, I just bought 2 rolls of 100' PoultryNet Plus from you and am wondering whether the output from the 6V solar energizer I have (previously used on single-wire horse fence) is sufficient to deter predators and keep my chickens in. At the bottom of this message is a link to the energizer I have. I have read that a 1-joule max output is ideal for this purpose; I don't want to overpower the fence for my own and my children's safety, but I'd like sufficient protection. We have very moist soil in all the places we are pasturing our chickens. Should I just try it, appropriately grounded, and see what the voltmeter reads?

In most cases a 6 volt energizer will not be strong enough to run PoultryNet. The only way to be sure is to try it. As long as you can keep 3000 volts or more on the fence it will be fine.
