offset wires for predator control

I am using woven wire fencing for my Shetland sheep. I live in Northern Ontario where wolves, coyotes and possibly black bears may be a predator problem.
I plan to install HT 12.5 gauge wire offset at 6" off the ground. I plan to install one or two hot wires on the top of the fence.
Should I offset one of the top wires as well?

Depends on how tall your woven wire is. If it runs all the way to the top then yes you will need to off set the wires. If the woven wire is only 32 inches tall and your top wires are 40 inches and 46 inches up then no they do not need offset. I hope this helps.

Thank you for that information, Sara. My posts are 5' and the wire is 4'...so I won't offset the top wires.
