Feeding orphan lambs using orphan buckets.

We have two orphan lambs that we are feeding milk replacer to. We just purchased an orphan bucket and bucket teats from you. We calculated how much replacer the lambs should get and mixed up enough to last 24 hours using cold water. We noticed that the lambs had consumed the entire amount in about 5 to 6 hours. Should we keep milk replacer in the bucket at all times, never letting it go empty, or continue to put in the amount they should drink in a 24-hour period?

If you want to have milk in front of the lambs at all times and they are drinking it too fast then you need to keep it cooler. Freeze a empty milk jug with water in it and place it inside the bucket. If the milk stays cold the lambs will not over feed.
