ear tagging lambs

I am a 4-Her and I am doing a demonstration on ear tagging. I was wondering if you could send me any information about tagging lambs. Also, what is the correct procedure for putting a tag in? Is the button supposed to be on the back of the ear or the inside of the ear? Any information would be appreciated.
