Bottle Jaw newborn

We had a lamb born today that looks to have bottle jaw. Can a lamb be born anemic?

I have never seen this in a newborn lamb before. What condition is the ewe in, and is the lamb still alive?

Yes the lamb is alive and doing much better. We had to bottle feed it the first day because it couldn't swallow too well. The ewe had rubbed off a bunch of her own wool. We didn't give her an insecticide drench because of how pregnant she was. I'm going to drench her tomorrow. Hopefully I won't poison the lamb through the milk. The lamb started nursing today. I think they are both going to be O.K. This ewe was the only one with a wool itching problem.

I wish that I could be more help but without being there to see this lamb we would just be guessing . Keep a close eye on him and let me know what happens.

Lamb made a full recovery. Ewe is still itching evev after spraying with insecticide.
Will spray again soon.
