casterated lamb

We have a lamb that banded for casteration approx. 21 days ago. The lamb was fine until 2 or 3 days ago when he started walking with his hind feet spread slightly and very small steps. Could he be constipated? I have noticed he is drinking water and eating pasture but seems to be moving slower and getting worse. What do you recommend? Are there certain symptoms I should look for?

I have two questions for you first. Is there any swelling where you banded him? And did you give him a shot for tetanus?

Try treating your lambs with one shot of Long Acting Penicillian when you dock tails and casterate this should help to prevent this from happening next time.
