Solar Fence Charger

I have a couple of questions about my Intellishock 20B unit that I purchase as part of your package #3. 1. How long should the battery last? 2. Does the battery still charge if the fence is turned off?

Without the solar panel the the 12V 12amp gel battery (if fully charged) will operate the IntelliShock 20B for 9-18 days dependant on weed load. With the solar panel connected the battery normally will last 2-5 years before the battery needs replaced. When the energizer is in the off position the battery will continue to charge via the solar panel.
