Poultry Netting

I have a roll of your netting and have not used it yet. What I was wondering was is 10,000 volt to much to put on it I know it will keep in the chickens but don't want to burn out the net. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That is a lot of voltage for any fence! We don't recommend pairing a large energizer with a small fence under any circumstances.

You need to make sure that your energizer is a low impedance energizer. If it is, you should be fine, but remember to use precautions whenever an electric fence is being used. Make sure to read our warning on the website under energizers or in our catalog. If you have any more questions, you can just email me directly at address below.

Thank you, Stephanie

The charger is only a small speedrite . It is powering a 3-wire fence along the woods as well as one side where the fence is not that great . I have not tried it but the charger also has a 1/2 power post on it I may be able to run a seprate feed to the netting from it. Thanks for your reply.

Do I need to buy one of your batteries? Or can I hook a solar powered battery up that has a lower voltage about right to fit the poultry netting?
Thanks,
Bette

Bette
To electrify a fence with a battery unit, you will need a battery operated energizer and a battery. A solar panel can be added to recharge the battery. A battery by itself will not energize a fence.

Thanks
