Broken Blade retainer

My blade retainer brokeon my new 3000s, right in the middle of doing my ram. Boy is he ugly looking! Do I need it, or can I use my shears without it? How much and how long does it take to replace. Can I replace it myself?

Yes, you can put the new retainer on yourself. Please call (or email) us to get a replacement, we will send it right out. No, you should NOT run the shearers without it. Having those cutters fly off in who knows what direction is not recommended... :)
