3000c or 1000c for Goats

I am looking at buying a part of large clipper to body clip our goats for showing. We usually use a clipmaster clipper. This gives us an "almost #10" clip on the body. We have a friend who uses the 3000c and loves hers, but I'm not sure the 1000c were available when she bought hers. I'd like a set of blade to last a show season if possible. We only clip 2-3 times a year, about 10 goats each time.

Thanks in advance, Amy

I think you will be happier with the 3000c. It is more powerful and faster than the 1000c. They take the same blades. I recommend the Coarse blades; they will leave about that much hair on the animal. While one set of blades could certainly do 30 clips (10 goats 3 times) it could not do that without being sharpened several times! I suggest getting several sets of blades and having them sharpened inbetween shows.

If I buy a new set of clipper, I see they come with the fine blades. Can I order them with a course set instead? How would I specify that if I do? I want to order a complete kit.

Yes, we will substitute the coarse blades. If you are going to order online you will need to put a note in the "comments" section of your order - it is at the very end of the process. However, the Coarse blades are currently on back order - we expect them in around the middle of next week.
