I WILL BE BLOCKING OUR SHEEP FOR THE FAIR AND NEED TO FINALLY INVEST IN SOME SHEARS. WHAT TO YOU RECOMMEND FOR A NOVICE?

I think the Premier 3000s will work very well for you. You can use the Phantom S combs for your off-the-skin blocking and the Phantom R if you do any slick shearing. For basic shearing most people like the Spirit comb the best.

What shear would you recommend for a novice. I am shearing about 6-8 sheep a year, and only for their comfort and to give the wool to friends. Thank you. lorraine

For your purpose I recommend the Premier 1000c. It is easy to use and quite capable of the job you are expecting. Please call in your order and ask for the Merlin 13L Blades to use with it (they are not currently available via the website).
