Polywire and Deer

I am thinking about using polywire to fence some beef cows on corn stalks, but am concerned with deer taking fence down! Do you have any suggestions about deer proofing a temporary fence?

Thanks,

John

The easiest way to Deer Proof a temporary fence from damage is to make it visible by using .5" IntelliTape in stead of polywire or Intellitwine. Tape is very visible thus allowing deer to see and clear the fence thus not knocking fence down or damaging fence materials. Ropes could also be used having 1 drawback compared to the .5" IntelliTape that being the extra bulk when rewinding rope verses tape. The ropes are 2+ times bulkier than tape but will also work very well as cattle fence in deer traffic areas.

Thanks
Scott
