30 of the Top Dogs advance to the Semi-Finals on Saturday
12 Dogs Advance to the Finals on Sunday
** Due to an overwhelming number of entries, an additional day of competition has been added to the Meeker Classic. We will run 40 more dogs on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019 – this is a “free attendance” day at the Meeker Classic – a vendor or two may be set up – but it’s basically the competition.
The Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials (held the week follow Labor Day every September) offers five days of sheepdog herding competition for a purse and added money totaling $27,000.
The Meeker Classic is a stage for the worlds of spectators, handlers, dogs, artisans and industry interests to come together and share their tales and their knowledge. Each goes home with an understanding and appreciation for the lives and stories of others.
