I've moved to an area of the country where rattlesnakes seem to be pretty abundant and after finding a western diamondback on my porch and my dog being bitten in the first two weeks of living here, I'm wondering what I can do to keep the snakes out of my property.
I still have my flexible electric poultry fence (no more poultry) and have been wondering if it would work for this purpose if it's erected kind of loosely. However, I don't know if a snake would be deterred by an electric shock.
My property is on a rocky hillside and setting posts in the ground is difficult in some spots, but there is an old barbed wire fence along the highest, rockiest line of the property. I thought I could put up the electric flexnet on that line and install a woven wire along the other fences. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
