Livestock require a lot of water—a viable lake, pond or creek and a well are recommended.
- Feed or forage
Livestock typically forage—can your pasture supply sufficient food for the quantity of animals you’re planning to raise?
- Safe, sturdy shelters
Shelter is critical—where will your animals go when exposed to inclement weather, heat or wind?
- Mend your fences
It delineates property lines, contains your livestock and enhances security. Good neighbors make good fences.
