I am currently using this feeder in a plastic tub for newly hatched chicks. With the rope, I can adjust it as they grow; keeping out litter, etc. The lid is needed to keep out rain and avoid perching on top. If they perch tail side in…stuff happens! Will order one more.

Perfect feeder for my exhibition Silkies. The larger feed area helps with crested birds. I now own 3 of these feeders.

I’m raising 50 Cornish Cross—they eat non-stop! This was perfect as they can get to the food easily and it doesn’t get dirty. It would also work well with geese or ducks as the holes are larger.

I replaced a feeder that had tremendous waste with this feeder. No waste with this feeder, no food on the ground. I like being able to see the level of the feed. If I could change anything, I would make it to hold 50 lb of feed, other than that I love it. It won’t take long to pay for it in feed not wasted.

I bought the 35 pound feeder. The feed does not automatically drop into the bottom where the chickens peck. You have to shake it to get the food to descend which completely defeats the purpose for a large capacity feeder.
