Brass Ferrules for Netting
Neat item used to repair broken horizontals in electric netting.
Makes for a quick tidy repair. Tying knots in the string works, but doesn't always make a good connection with the metal strands. The brass ferrule helps eliminate that problem.

- 9.13mm long

How to Use
- Place the replacement conductor next to the broken end of a horizontal conductor in the netting.
- Using a pliers, crimp the ferrule together so that both conductor pieces are cinched tightly by the ferrule.
- Do the same to the other end.
- The ferrule is metal and should both physically and electrically connect the broken pieces.

I’m sure these would work well on some things, but they did not help me much at all with my poultry netting repair. They are not big enough to crimp well around the knot they recommend in the repair video. I tried, failed and ruined many of these ferrules trying to crimp them. Not sure the ones that held are going to hold up in the field. Next time I’m going to the hardware store to just buy larger diameter ferrules.

Not enough of these in the repair package that is sent with every roll of electric netting, so I purchased 30 ferrules to keep around for emergencies.

These made the repair to the ElectroNet fence (that had been cut in half by the lawnmower) quick, easy, and secure. I just cut out the damaged portion and reconnected the appropriate lines. And the fence is hot again.

These are too small to actually crimp well on a tied square knot. They definitely will not work on the bottom cord of ElectroStop netting that is tied in a square knot. They will only crimp well on unknotted cord. A larger size is definitely needed for crimping on the large bottom cord. Unfortunately, there do not seem to be any alternatives to the offered one size ferrule. While they do not work well apparently they are your only choice—use them or do without.
