These pans are sturdy and have no mold marks or other signs of poor craftsmanship. I attached this to the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket to make a feeder for our flock. Works wonders.

I found this dish very useful. I have used it in the brooder to spread feed for the chicks. This keeps the food separate from the bedding while they learn the difference and gives them a good place to learn to scratch. I’ve also used it in my outdoor chick run with a mother hen. It’s very useful.

This is the 2nd one I’ve purchased. It is great for keeping your chicks’ water clean or for scattering treats. Sure you might be able to find something similar around your farm but the rubberized surface means chicks have traction as they learn to use their big feet. It is easy to clean. Added plus: As one of my 1st grade students said, you can use it as a big Frisbee when not used for chicks.

Large dish made from solid, heavy plastic. Nice size for several chicks to use at once. Little bumps on the surface throughout to keep chicks from slipping. Easy to clean.

I love this tray for dry feed!
I do have a large brood area so the size is great for my situation. I had 15 chicks so needed a pan large enough for them all to use as they were growing.
In the past I was feeding wet feed to chicks so I was using a glass pan which works well and avoids leaching from the plastic into the wet feed. This year I'm feeding dry. The glass pan worked well for awhile, however, after the chicks are a little heavier, they slide on the slippery glass. Since the feed is dry and there isn't a leaching issue, this plastic tray fixed the slipping and gave them a stable bottom to stand on.
I will likely use this as a pan under adult dry feeders as well as other uses that I haven't even thought of yet.
Definitely worth the price for my use.
