Dairy Kid Long Rubber Teats
Elongated design mimics teats of dairy dams.
Rubber teats are the most durable orphan feeding nipple. Use with sharp-toothed lambs and goat kids over 10 days of age—who bite when nursing. “Flat-back” design attaches flush onto Bucket Teat Units or Mountable Teat Feeders.
Due to flat-back design, washer (Item #565100) is included with each nipple. Use the washer to help prevent leakage between the bucket wall and the teat unit.
Instructions/Diagrams:
Benefits
We prefer natural latex teats to get goat kids started, and then switch them over to these rubber teats after 8–10 days. Our goat kids prefer the long style rubber nipples over the short.
Specs
- Dimensions: 2-5/8" x 1-3/8"
- Red rubber
- (1) washer is included with each nipple
- Easy to clean
Tips
If the milk flow seems too slow, take a Pocket Scalpel (or other sharp knife) and enlarge the “X” slit in the end of the teat. Be careful! Do NOT cut the end too large or the milk will constantly leak out.
Precautions
Cannot be used on soda pop bottles.
Do NOT leave empty bottles or bucket feeders in the orphan pen. Lambs and goat kids will chew on nipples (in an attempt to feed) and damage the teats. A habit that is not easily reversed.

Works great for kids after the first week.

These nipples leak, wasting milk. Customer service admitted they are a problem asking me to just add more o rings to prevent leakage. I’m returning at my expense. If you want wasted milk, and another problem these might be the nipples for you.

I like using the bucket with the rubber nipples. They hold up very well for the older kid goats that I’m in the process of weaning, but still need/get some milk. So far the rubber washer/rings have held up well too and don’t leak, which I was a little concerned about initially.
