Active Ingredients
- Decoquinate 6% (27.2 g/lb)
Ingredients: Corn meal, soybean oil, lecithin and silicon dioxide.
How to Use
Mix a minimum of 1 lb of Deccox® into 1 ton of feed which provides 13.6 mg of Deccox per pound of feed. Animals eating 3.3% of their bodyweight in daily intakes of the ration will consume the correct dosage of 0.5 mg per kilogram of bodyweight. If also offering hay separately to the lambs, this will reduce intakes of the ration and appropriate increases in Deccox concentration are needed to insure adequate intake of Deccox.
Store below 77°, excursions permitted to 99° F and keep bag tightly sealed.
Shepherd’s Choice™ Management Tip
Adding Deccox to trace mineral salt mix is a means of treating pasture lambs. However, the dosage is tricky. Ewes need 0.5 mg per kilogram of bodyweight. (E.g. If ewes are 154 pounds, or 70 kg, they need 35 mg per day.) In a 55 pound mix of Sheep Trace Mineral Premix with salt, add 5 pounds of 6% Deccox®.* Lambs may not eat enough to be treated. One can double the inclusion rate as Deccox is quite safe.Precautions
Must be mixed with feed ingredients before feeding. Do not use in feeds containing bentonite. Mixing and conveying equipment should be properly grounded.
Read all warnings and cautions on label. Not for human use.

Fast delivery and this is the only place I can get a small package of Deccox. I give it to my horses twice a year, and I don’t know what they have that it takes care of, but they act, move and look so much better after about a month on this stuff. I’m told it helps with EPM, but take it how you want. I’ve never had a problem ordering from Premier 1 Supplies.

I have been using Deccox when the lambs and ewes are in the barn, particularly 30 days ahead of lambing until they go out to pasture. Last year I had zero lambs with coccidia and this year we have been able to get all the lambs out go pasture with no coccidia problem. The only downside is it is expensive to use, but not as expensive as dead or poor doing lambs. For best results I keep it consistently accessible to the lambs and the ewes. I do not use this product when the sheep are out on pasture and I don’t use it once they come in for the winter until we are within 30 days of lambing.

Deccox has made a big difference for my horse. He was showing signs of not being 100%. Not neuro, but not himself. I used this product for all my horses and they’ve all shown an improvement, but especially my old guy. I’m going to be doing this on a rotating basis for him. 3 months on, 3 months off. I use 1 tablespoon per 1000 lb horse.
