Take from the bottom, add to the top and you will always be using the oldest eggs. Fresh, unwashed eggs may be kept 1-2 weeks at room temperature.

Shipping time was great. We love this piece on the counter to use and display, of course we experience some eggs will get turned some and not roll but that will happen we have all different size eggs. I recommend this skelter it is well built and nice paint job.

This product is MUCH smaller than it looks, it's pathetically tiny in real life and can't hold more than about a dozen eggs. In addition to that it is also much uglier than it's pictured here. I wanted a attractive egg skelter and I got a small ugly piece of painted metal.
Oh and did I mention all the paint got chipped off opon arrival? Don't buy this product.
