Galvanized Cone Feeders
Compared to metal feeders we’ve used in the past, we like the heavy-duty metal construction, quality galvanization and clever adjustment method. Use free standing or by hanging using built-in handle.
Use for feeding the flock, from broilers to layers. Waterfowl friendly too!
Available in 11, 22 and 44 lb capacity.

Precautions
We DO NOT recommend the use of the Feed Saver Grill with roosters or hens that have large combs. The comb could rub on the plastic and become injured.
To reduce the risk of entrapment, breeds with voracious appetites such as Cornish Cross should NOT use the Feed Saver Grill.

We had issues with chicken feed getting wet and moldy (bad for chickens). I was looking for solutions to the wet feed and found these rain caps, it was exactly like I was imagining as a solution! No more wet feed. The 22 lb feeders also hold a good amount of feed. I like that the feeders are metal also as they’re stronger and more heavy duty than my other feeders which are all plastic. This feeder works great for my backyard chicks, chickens and ducks!

I have sadly had some flimsy, moisture attracting poultry feeders over the years. Never been satisfied, until now.
The Premier 1 galvanized poultry feeders are not your typical feeders. Just a few words to describe... Sturdy, thick steel, with the rain caps, totally moisture resistant, bottom heavy for an absolute stance. There is no way I will purchase any other metal feeder from this day forward.

Well built feeder, very sturdy. I easily snapped in the adjusters, to set the feed depth. I like the food-saver grill which is preventing the wasting of food. Until my chicks go outside in 2 more weeks, I have the feeder on the floor (on top of two pieces of 2 x 6 boards to keep out shavings). The lid works great to prevent chicks from throwing shavings into the food or from roosting on top. Very happy with my purchase.

The flimsy lid just rests on top of the feeder and is a poor fit. It is quickly knocked off by the chickens, or blown off by wind. It is junk headed for the garbage.

The feeders themselves are ok. They work. You will need someone strong to snap the pail into the final adjuster. The hopper lid though, is a complete joke. I ordered 22 lb feeders and the lids are supposed to fit. First off, if you want to hang the feeders, the lid cannot be used because it interferes with the handle. Second, even if not hung, the lid does not fit on the top of the hopper and just falls off with the slightest touch. It was a total waste of money. That meant the chickens still fly up and sit on the top and poop all over the food. My chicks would fly up and sometimes fall into the hopper and can’t get out because the top opening is so small. I bought these specifically because they had lids. I could have bought similar metal feeders elsewhere for half the price. They also kick all the food out of the sides. 22 lbs of food all over the ground in a single day everytime I had to refill. If I want this product to work, I’d have to buy the feed saver grill and the antisoil ring too, apparently. No thanks, I shouldn’t have to buy additional accessories to make the feeder usable, especially not if the shipping costs more than the accessories. They may be just as useless as the hopper lids.
