I have used both the small yellow feeder, as well as the large orange feeder. I feed fermented feed to my meat birds, and these feeders work great for that. I used the small yellow feeder until the birds were around 3 weeks old, and then I switched to the large orange feeder. The tops easily slide off to allow easy filling of the wet fermented feed. The birds can easily tip these over, but mine never do until they are empty. Put together an order that is over $100, and free shipping. Can’t beat that. Another great product from Premier!

This is great for a small brooder setup and very affordable. The chicks seem to use this style more than our others, which have a center line rib. If tipping is a problem a few small stones may help to weight it and provide stability.

I’ve tried all kinds of homemade inventions, but this feeder beats them all. There is no waste and our dog finally met her match, she can’t eat out of this one! The large orange feeder works for my full size laying hens and also the smaller bantams and call ducks.

The large orange trough is great. It reduces waste considerably. The yellow chick feeder is easy to tip over and just not very good.
Denise T from California
The yellow size is easy to tip and I did have a chick get stuck inside of one, but no harm done. The orange feeders are the best! Great for growing out chicks and not wasting feed. They’re very easy to fill.
