I bought this hanging feeder to hold my chicken’s crushed oyster shells. It’s a nice size so I don’t have to constantly fill it up. It seems very durable, but the thing I don’t like is the thick black plastic is very stinky. The chemical smell was pretty terrible. I let it air out (or off gas) for a few days before I started using it. It’s made in China and I wish I had checked if it was made from a non-toxic plastic material before buying. So I am not sure I would recommend this product. I think I will look for a glass or ceramic type container to replace this one very soon.
